HERMES SoftLab Integration Services were performed
in several banks. The main challenge was to integrate our own developed
e-banking solution into different existing bank environment.
The retail e-banking solution enables bank clients
to perform different kind of transactions, overviews and enquires in the
electronic way. The components of our e-banking solution include the
core middleware solution, module for managing the system, module for
issuing and prolonging the certificates, internal database, gateway,
application for retail banking, farm of web and application servers.
The local operational data base is build on IBM
UDB2 environment, which needed the integration into the e-banking
solution and its purpose is to assure better performance of the entire
solution. Data are synchronized with the banks existing database with
the use of CICS transactions. The synchronization is being performed in
"on-line" as well as in "batch" mode.
In some cases the synchronization with the bank existing database is
performed with IBM Message Queue System.
A high level of security on different levels is
achieved with the implementation of best of breed mechanisms (firewalls,
SSL, PKI, certificates, smart cards, digital signing, etc.). Additional
services of training, maintaining and supporting the solution are
offered to our customers.
Our customers like Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d.,
Poštna banka Slovenije d.d. both from Slovenija and HYPO Alpe-Adria-Bank
d.d. from Croatia implemented the retail e-banking solution which
differs in functionality but needed the integration into the existing
bank environment.
Slovenian biggest insurance company is renewing its
information system. The basis for this renewal is the new application
supporting new product for unit-linked insurance (a new product of life
insurance). Functions that are supported within are next:
-
to contract the life insurance (offer, policy,
underwriting),
-
possibility of data policy changes,
-
subsystem of inkaso and provisioning
-
implementation of entire management handling
system.
The application for unit-linked insurance works as
web client, where the authentication of users is performed over the IBM
Domino (LDAP) server. For the communication with clients the SSL
protocol is used. The application is based on:
-
usage of new technologies which are supported
within IBM WebSphere V5 (J2EE, JSP, Java, Servlets, EJB 2.0, CMP EJB,
MVC, STRUTS),
-
3-tier architecture and
-
data base IBM DB2 UDB.
The application is designed to enable the
connection with existing insurance information system, supports
Multilanguage, and offers the support for further development in new
technologies. The application was most probably the first in Slovenia to
be implemented with IBM WebSphere V5. |
