Service Management solution for VAS and VAS Infrastructure

.The challenge

Our customer was looking to implement a centralized solution to efficiently monitor and manage VAS applications and telecom infrastructure due to the fact that VAS had become an important revenue source and market differentiator. The customer wanted to proactively manage infrastructure and platforms such as SMSC, MMSC, IN Platform, WAP GW, GPRS GW, VMS, VAS Platform & Apps (SMS/MMS services).

.The solution

HERMES SoftLab designed and implemented a solution based on HP OpenView to enable the customer to proactively monitor and manage fault and performance of Network, Systems as well as mission-critical applications and telecom infrastructure.

The solution enables them to avoid faults while reducing the IT staff efforts to identify the root cause of failures when they occur. The solution also included a Trouble Ticketing system to optimize the incident and problem management process, thus reducing the time from failure to restoration of a service.
