Multiple-bundles tariffing application
Customer: Northern European Mobile Operator, CRM Systems Development department
The
challenge
Our client’s marketing department wanted to introduce a flexible way to create and customized bundles of products and services for individual customer segments and corporate accounts. Due to market pressures and subscriber’s churn risk, our customer wanted to launch the new offering in very short time frame.
The
solution
Due to the inability of the customer to modify the legacy billing system and implement new functionality, HERMES SoftLab conceived and developed a customized application to support the tariffing for product/service bundles. The customized application provides our customer’s marketing department (and subscribers) with the ability to create and flexibly customize voice, data traffic (GPRS) & messaging offers for individual customer segments. The application provides integration through various channels to critical systems such as customer care and billing systems. It also has an integration layer to existing telecom infrastructure for service provisioning and activation as well as subscriber authentication and authorization. The application user interface was integrated on top of the user interface of the existing CRM System (Amdocs/Clarify).
In addition to providing an interface with the operator’s billing systems, the application provides provisioning through connectivity to a middleware that enables access over different channels and applications such Customer Call Center, agents and customer self-service WAP/SMS/Voice/Web applications.
Key
benefits
Ability for the marketing department and subscribers themselves to define their own tariffing packages
Remove the need for marketing to wait for IT & Billing departments to launch new tariffing strictures and promotions
Leverage customer and subscriber intelligence to personalize offering packages
Design new offerings in a reduced time-frame and reduce subscriber churn
